A project I did with my friends, this is a complete zombie outbreak survival guide which includes information about zombies, diseases, transmission, cure, food and tools. The guide not only teach basic surviving skill but also knowledge about pathogen. The guide contains crafting diy tools for surviving too, which we already successfully tried making it.

For today I learned parts of brain and each of the part function. I also learned how we memorize things in long-term and short-term by performing experiment using laboratory rat to swim in the dark and find a platform hiding in one side of the pool. The experiment is repeated 3 times with random place for each time. It gets better in each time it's swim.
Biodiesel can be extracted from algae.
By mixing niles red dye color to the algae, the oil can be seen in the dark, under microscope. ( The yellow part) I did pain relieve from salicyllate powder. It includes]d many steps and long time for making pure pain relieve.
I had Introduction to bioinformatics class during the summer break at institute of molecular bioscience I learned to use computational and bioinformatics science to collect, organize, analyze and model biological data such as DNA , RNA and protein. I designed forward and reverse primer for Penaeus monodon argonaute (PmAge4) before putting in E.coli bacteria using ApE software. I'm working with DNA for 2 weeks
This including extracting plamids, DNA Cloning (Putting the plasmid from Arganaute I did before into the e.coli virus). Running gel in agarose, testing bloodline etc. In vitro making of hepatic cell encapsulation for acute liver failure treatment
Pawramee Werakajonsak 5961153 For Capstone project August 20th 2017 - April 31st 2018 With Mahidol University Biomedical engineering faculty Lab report: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MHqGDG2U4f9gqmP9M13PKiKlRIWZZnxmlwbPF0F_Vrc/edit?usp=sharing After few months, I was taught to feed the PBS buffer to the cell and move the cell too other container and start a new cycle of it. The cell I grow is called L291. In ever steps has to be clean, I have to spray the alcohol every time, at first it was hard , moving things around in the hood, but later I can do it by myself.
I have to do research of previous cell encapsulation for weeks. Then I came out that I should do 115 molecular mass of CaCl with pure water and 1.5% of algenate, the amount that didn't harm our body. After I learned mixing , I started to to use the encapsulation machine that I installed by myself, it's the machine that spray out very frequently, it's work by shaking but only a little shake that's I couldn't notice make the algenate came out evenly in a perfect circle. It seems easy but took a long time to set the appropriate settings to make every drops fell in the perfect shapes. Later after 2-3 months of repeating I done encapsulating my L291 , however it came out unsuccessful because it's shape is pretty bad (picture 4) and I have to repeat all from the beginning, I may have to change the amount , the intensity of the CaCl and algenate and the settings of the machine. During these months , I was able to use my knowledge that I learned from the school in the lab and learn visually. The staff there was free sometime and they taught me the university level science and let me do the experiment I want in the lab. I really love spending time in the lab and always find the experiment to do while I'm free. At first ,I planned that I will do the cosmetics ,but I changed it to Biomedical science. I didn't know who's my mentor or what I was going to do so I did a little research about the project . After two weeks ,The university contacted me and they said I've to go there to meet my mentor on Tuesday.
My mentor works in the lab. He said that he has been doing a research about the medicine that can transport cure for cancer to the specific spot on the body and makes it works effectively. The lab made many amazing things ,such as a water that have magnetic properties when it's near magnet and a substance that cover things from bacteria. I have to change the schedule ,and I have to go home late than before. Now I planned that I might cancel some of my club days to go to the lab. The days I plan to go are Monday and Tuesday . However ,the first two weeks are near my exam date. After I listened to the presentation of one of the lab staff ,I felt like I must do more research and study to be able to understand what I'm doing. Everyone in the lab are all university students and some already graduated. They know more than me a lot. |
