This is a group project I did with my friends, it's to analyse the given poem in many views and write them all in the academic writing. The objective is to have the student manage time and able to understand the story, the biography to the skill of analyzing poem based on experience.![]()

I'm having a great time making costume with my friends! It's a nice opportunity to let me work and talk to them. My job is designing , buying , directing and making costume. I normally have passion and always do designing dresses but this is first time I do designing costume for contest and the first time to see my work in physical ,worn by the beautiful model.
For the costume, it's inspired by the northern part of Thailand. And the reason I chose this idea to be the reference is because Bangkok was cold and it reminded me of Northern part that I used to travel there. I could remember the elegant Doi suthep, the sensuous flower field and the colourful Tung Lanna that fly freely in the sky. I then mixed those famous tourist attraction with the traditional art of the northern part of Thailand, Thai nail dance. The design came out nice, I printed it and gave to everyone, I expected the dressmaker are going to make ithe dress completed on time and come out beautiful as I expected. They out me in control of the dress making because I know the materials, the color to use and the details. I helped them make the flowers, do the colors, the makeup, the hair and the head part. At last I could say that the costume came out ravishing!, we changed the skirt part because it's hard to find the materials. I'm so happy I have great time , I gained a lot experiences from this activity. ESLO: Innovative thinkers Leaders of the future Articulate communicators This is the project of the 2nd quarter of Thai class. We have to do the presentation about showing personal idea. The information was brought from the book, but I did change the example to make it looks real and in real life situation.

The due of the work is very near and there's only a few weeks to finish. At first, I think it would be impossible but I later changed my mind.
We are divided into 4 groups, which we have to work with those who were chosen til the end of quarter 4. I was chosen to be the leader ,but I felt so unsure if I can finish the work the teacher given or not . I felt bad ,worried that I'll lead them in the wrong way. So I did my best ,leading and telling them what to do and giving them tasks. The first project we did is writing research paper ,it was hard and pressuring. Me and my teammates had been working til midnight everyday. At first, there were lots of mistakes ,but then we corrected it ,learned from the mistakes and wrote the new one. And here comes the "catch me if you can" game. The game is very thrilling ,it making me a little more afraid of losing team points. The game seems to be really real and fun. Everyone have to claim that they are the secret owners ,by speaking ,telling and making people to trust them. I think this game helps a lot in persuading skills. 1) Presentation group
For this project , I did the presentation of "A man's heart" it is a Thai literature from Rama 6 . Our group included Aim , Grace , Mint , Mook , Pangrum and me. The story is about Praphan , a man who came back from studied in England . His father wanted to find a wife for him when he came back ; however Praphan fell in love with Urai , the girl who acted modernly , she acted like a querulous high-class who didn't really care about others. She always had argument with Praphan. Later , their loves can't be continue , Praphan and Urai broke up. Our group present this literature by playing drama , the script was written by Pangrum . It is an important part from A man's heart when Urai broke up with Praphan to marry with Nakorn. It took a week to perform , we did practice everyday after school. Before we did perform , we searched on the internet and watched the previous performing on YouTube. It was exhausted , but I'm happy because it's worthwhile. 2) Government group I was doing the debate about love between different ages. It was really excited that I spent almost whole week to do the research and practice debating , before the debate , I consulted with my group mates. When I stand in front of the class , I felt ready and well-prepared of my information ;however , because I can only have 3 objections , I felt pressured and didn't focus on what the opponent group said. I felt bad when our group lost , maybe because my objections weren't good enough. 3) Opponent group I didn't do the opponent , but I helped in finding some information and brainstorming (although only little). I like how my friends debate. They look very professional , even their topic seem unfavorable for me , they can still debate and won. 4) Examination group We did 20 multiple choices. I mostly wrote the question about usage of Thai language , not the story. I got the question from website. Leaders for the future: -Build teamwork and leadership to achieve common goals. -Work through our differences and accept group decisions. -Evaluate how well we work together and give one another helpful feedback. -Use technology to solve our problems and do our work together. In this quarter , I have studied about language and culture . It is about how the Thai language related to its culture , such as gestures and hand sign . I studied about the slangs , how the new words created by new generations . I did the poster with short drama skit about the slang words .
I also studied a very interesting topic about human brain and language. If the brain was damaged , that person may not be able to arrange things he or she wants to say. Stroke can also cause a person to speak very slow , his or her sentences seem to be torn apart . There is also a critical period which a child can learn and remember many languages better and more efficient than any other ages. Language and thinking is about making hypothesis by looking at the topic . In my opinion , this is the hardest one because it's hard and impossible to guess what's the writer thinking . I have to thing deeply and repeating my ideas again and again. Many times the answer I wrote down is ot the same , it is merely a part of the real answer . There's also GAT test which I have to draw a line from one statements to other . At first , I thought it was hard but then it wasn't at all . The GAT test game is very thrilling and fun ; however I got many experiences from the game . I have been learning Thai language for over 10 years now , but I have never studied Thai in the different way like this before. Yes , I would say it is hard and challenging but sometimes to be challenged isn't that bad.
After I finished learning this unit I have got many things .Learning Thai language in the different way and perspective I have had before. Here it is completely different , my old knowledge can't cover all of it so I did research. I studied about the phonetics which I have never learnt and I believe no other school teach this. Phonetics is when you write your word in native language into the word that other foreigners can read. I always made mistakes because I usually wrote them in capital letters . I know now where and how the sounds and words come from and I could write it in the way foreigners understand and correct . I have learnt how to break apart the sentence into small pieces and it could be used in many languages and especially in English exam . My result isn't that bad or good , I haven't still impressed . I'm sure I can do better than this if I try more and more harder. I still have a lot of mistakes and still don't clearly understand the lesson. For the next unit I'm going to study more hard and put more effort by reviewing at home and practice. |
